Cowboy

In the beginning we realize the women is in charge. This is different from what we have seen so far in the Westerns we have read and watched. The women usually have the role as being submissive and following her husband's orders. Reading this we got to go back and see what a true Cowboy was. When I hear the word Cowboy I do not think of John Wayne. I think of characters like we have in this story.I really enjoyed reading this we got to see into the life of a real Cowboy.

    I never even thought about how this woman has a stronger role than the other women we've read about in westerns. Your right, compared to the old man, she is the dominate one. I also agree how when you first hear the word "cowboy" you think of this image rather than John Wayne.
